Droid and Knost Foto/Surfboard Show

Head on out to Thalia Surf Shop in Laguna on July 27th from 6:30 till close and see some sick photos and surfboards from my homeboys Alex Knost and Andrew Doheny. Some of the photos will be from a recent trip to Mex for a new film I'm working on with these guys. Both of these two are naturals behind the lens and in the shaping bay so it will not disappoint!

Nate Frizzell ‘To Become Myself’ Teaser

Check out this teaser video for Nate Frizzell I made for LeBasse Projects and Kane and Unke

‘To Become Myself’ :: New work from Nate Frizzell

LBP :: Chinatown
May 13th – June 4th, 2011
Artist reception: Friday, May 13th 7-10p

Los Angeles, CA – LA based artist Nate Frizzell opens his third solo exhibition with LeBasse Projects following his two most recent sold out shows. For his new exhibit, Frizzell continues his exploration of self-discovery but changes his medium yet again.

‘To Become Myself’ will feature a series of beautifully drawn charcoals on paper – the first time the artist has shown work in this form. By moving away from the canvas and oil painting he has become known for, Frizzell reinvents himself to examine where his artistic and personal future will lead.

Frizzell chooses to explore his artistic vision and hopes that viewers will follow along on his journey. This exhibit will be the first solo show in LeBasse Projects’ new Chinatown Gallery.

Kid Creature

I meet Calvin aka Kid Creature about 6-7 months ago at Andrew Doheny's pad. Andrew said something about Cal making t-shirts and I was kinda like "yeah cool", not really thinking much of it. Then Calvin cruises over to say hi and he is wearing the freakiest cyclops t shirt thing I've ever seen. So I ask him if thats one of his shirts. The kid is so humble he barely admits he made it.

Fast Forward to today and Kid Creature is on the Volcom art team, selling shirts around the world and hanging out with Dane Reynolds making art together?!?!?!

I've also become great friends with Calvin and his family. They are some of the most amazing/humble people I've ever met and it's a friendship I know will last a lifetime.

Look out for more collaborations with Kid Creature/Two Dollars Please in the near future.

Here is a campaign for GSN I was able to include Kid Creature in:

Vixens via Mr. Blakeway

Another eye pleasing film from my mate Riley Blakeway. In my opinion he's light years past any of his peers in the surf world. Can't wait to see this kid put a narrative piece together.

Thom Pringle Insight Untitled Campaign Video

Insight just dropped a video I made for my buddy Thom Pringle this fall. The original was a bit less filtered but Insight did a rad job of making my clip flow with the look of the rest of their campaign. Hope you like!
